Dates & Times
Let me know when you'd like to set up a class. Gather your child's friends and we'll set some dates!
Classes meet from
4:00 – 6:00 pm
in my Palo Alto home, Midtown

While having fun with friends, the children will
• Thread and operate the sewing machine (theirs or mine)
• Sew a project of their choosing
• Trace off, pin down and cut patterns
• Gain a real understanding of what is involved in the
design and construction of the clothes and
other fabric items they enjoy

• Gain personal confidence and competence while
learning a new set of skills
• See their ideas come to life!
Children design their own project or choose from among projects and patterns (limited) I have

Some Important Details
• I have machines for each student to use or they may
bring one, if preferred
• I supply basic sewing tools for all
• Minimum age • 8 years old
• 3 students: minimum • 4 students: maximum
• Students are welcome to bring a snack
Each student is responsible for his/her own project-specific fabric, patterns* and notions
* If your child chooses to make pajama bottoms, I have pattern s/he can use.

I also teach private and semi-private lessons to children and adults, as well as parents and children, together. Let me know if you have special requests.

To Register
• Email me at appletonsews.gmail.com
• I will let you know if there is space in the session
• I will "pencil" your child's name into the desired session
• I will send you the Registration and Waiver forms
along with project-related information.
• You will complete the Registration and Waiver forms
and return them to me with session fees.
• I will confirm receipt of the forms and fees and
your child's place in the session will be confirmed ("inked in!").
